NATURAL CHITOSAN COATING FOR POST-HARVEST FRUITS
While worldwide hunger continues to rise, almost 50% of all fruit and vegetables produced are wasted – predominantly due to post-harvest loss.
Chitosan is a safe, effective, and edible post-harvest protector to extend fruits’ shelf life, quality, texture, and appearance. Coating fruits with Chitosan will create a selective semi-permeable film to regulate the atmosphere around the fruit.
