Tri Ton District is one of the largest rice cultivation areas in An Giang, Vietnam 🌾🌾🌾. However, the rice farming practices of local farmers still heavily rely on chemical fertilizers and pesticides, resulting in restricted economic efficiency and adverse effects on human health, the environment, and the ecosystem.
In order to optimize rice production costs, improve economic outcomes for farmers, and contribute to sustainable agriculture, VNF (Vietnam Food) partnered with MiAgri to implement a demonstration model: “Combining PeptiBlossom and ChitoBlossom products (VNF) with agricultural drone irrigation services (MIAGRI) in the AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying) rice farming practice.”
📢 MODEL INFORMATION DURATION:

- Experimental Area: 6 hectares
- Experimental Products: PeptiBlossom and ChitoBlossom VNF (*) 🦐🦐🦐
(*) PeptiBlossom (an easily absorbed nutrient source) and ChitoBlossom (a natural “plant vaccine”) are produced using advanced biotechnology and have been tested on various crop groups. Notably, for rice crops, both products have undergone multiple successful trials following traditional cultivation methods and achieved excellent results in disease prevention (panicle blanking) and crop productivity. 🌱✨
🏆 ACHIEVED RESULTS:
After four months of collaboration with local farmers, we are pleased to announce that the model has achieved initial success and brought benefits to the farming community. It has helped to:
- Reduce ~30% of pesticide costs
- Reduce ~30% of chemical fertilizer costs
- Decrease ~25% of the total fertilizer costs 💰💰💰
- While still achieving the optimal yield of 8.54 tons per hectare
Furthermore, according to research by experts in the Alternate Wetting and Drying (AWD) irrigation technique, this practice also led to a 28% reduction in water usage and nearly a 48% reduction in methane emissions (CH4).
